More About Delta Delta Delta and St. Jude

Delta Delta Delta Fraternity (Tri Delta) officially adopted St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as its national philanthropic partner in November 1999, providing members the opportunity to unite in support of a children's cancer charity. Since that time, Tri Delta chapters across the country have raised money and awareness for the hospital in a variety of ways.

In 2005, a year earlier than expected, Tri Delta raised $1 million that endowed the hospital's Teen Room. In 2006, Tri Delta took on a second commitment to raise $10 million in 10 years to name the Patient Care Floor in the Chili's Care Center. In just four years – by May 2010 – Tri Delta met the $10 million fundraising goal.

In July 2010, Tri Delta announced its third naming commitment, an aggressive challenge to raise $15 million in 5 years to name the Specialty Clinic located in the Patient Care Center at St. Jude. As of July 2010, Tri Delta members have raised nearly $16 million for the children of St. Jude. This success is only made possible by the deep commitment of the Tri Delta collegiate and alumnae members from around the country.
